The parade and festival was a great success this year! Now we begin the planning and fundraising for next year.
The Long Island Pride Parade needs to expand it's base of volunteers.

June 8th, 2008 marked the 18th LI Pride Parade. It was successful because you all came out on a beautiful warm day with your sisters and brothers. We all worked so hard to make the Parade possible and we all can be proud of our accomplishments this year.
We enjoyed the wonderful entertainment, especially Maxine Nightingale. We held our heads up proudly as we marched on Main Street to the park. In the park were table after table of information. Tables of all our organizations which served us so well throughout the year.
The rainbow banners and flags brought color and joy to the day and let's not forget our vendors and all of our volunteers who helped make this day special. On behalf of everyone involved, let me thank all of you for your many contributions to a glorious Pride Parade Day.
It continues to be a joy for me to be Executive Director of your Parade and I am hard at work already preparing for 2009.
